My Wife’s work friend apparently rates each walkthrough they do. So keeping in the tradition of always doing something new with our data every year, we too will be rating each walk through to help determine our rankings.
Cybergoria S: 7/10 B: 7/10
S 7/10 felt some empty spots. Very dark to see. a bit repetitive. scary, but with some comedic spots
B 7/10 Has potential to be really good. Dark and a little empty on the first walk through but I can see it being constantly scary when full

Sinners S: 6/10 B: 7/10
S 6/10 big and empty. Long scenes and resets so I missed stuff. Scareactors were fun and danced with people in front
B 7/10 I like the vibes. If you hadn’t seen the movie you might be a little confused. Scare actors are good but it was a long stretches with nothing.

Hellraiser S: 8/10 B: 8.25/10
S: 8/10. Some empty looking spots but aggressive scares, looks amazing, had some stoppages. Crazy that they had the sexy bits. Lots of hanging things including strings, scratches me.
B: 8.5/10 I don’t like these movies but the vibes are great in this house. So much to look at which slowed down the line but the scare actors were super aggressive
S: 8/10 same aggression, new scares, early tripped with uneven floors. Still lots of strings
B: 8/10 less intense than the first one but still really. Very immersive
INVASION: Alien Abduction S: 7/10 B: 7.25/10
S: 7/10 aggressive, barely empty boo holes. Super short. Uneven floor. Costumes repeat a lot. Great facade and surprise ending scare. This score seems low for a good run.
B: 7/10 Looks really cool and some nice details in the house. Nice effects like vibrating floor. Not a lot of variety in the scare actors.
S: 7/10 Like one new scare, got me a few times but got Brittny behind me a lot. Still super aggressive. Felt a tad longer this time, but still short. Mostly just alien scareactors.
B: 7.5/10 Felt like more scares, but not more at me. Stilt guy! Very aggressive and good use of mirrors.
H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular! S: 7/10 B: 8/10
S: 7/10 preshow shown too far back, better with slaughter Sinema. More fun than scary. Felt really short, but maybe we went through fast. Some cool concepts and scareactors seem to be having fun. Lots of variety. Got scared by alien final scare
B: 8/10 Really like the vignette style. The rooms are too short to really appreciate all the details
Evil Dead Burn S: 9/10 B: 9/10
S: 9/10. Very aggressive, different scares, dark hurting self scares. No dead dog. Very themed!
B: 9/10 Scariest house of the night so far. Very good despite the movie being absolute shit.
MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals S: 7.5/10 B: 8.5/10
S: 7.5/10. While moving quickly through it didn’t feel too short. Cool aesthetic. Very aggressive but also seem to have fun scare actors. Felt I missed a lot of scares but saw/heard them. Pretty full house.
B: 8.5/10 Love the aesthetic and the scare actors were aggressive. Cool facade. This is what Fallout should have been like.
Ozzy Osbourne Prince of Darkness S: 8.75/10 B: 7.75/10
S: 9/10. Good mix of scares. Long, even when moving quickly. Should have watched music videos to prepare. Scenery changes a lot so you don’t get bored.
B: 8/10 Very interesting set pieces. Would need a few walk throughs to make sense of it all but the train sequence is really cool
S: 8.5/10 Some missing scareactors. Felt even longer with more people in the conga line. It’s diverse and the scare actors were diverse. With our large group, everyone got a scare at some point.
B: 7.5/10 Again, gonna blame this on a lack of knowledge but the story just isn’t cohesive. I can appreciate the music and there’s definitely some good scares, just lacking the story telling aspect.
Stranger Things 5 S: 7.83/10 B: 8.5/10
S: 9/10 extra scary cause I was leading in empty and almost walked into boo holes. Hyper aggressive, like getting right in my face. No empty holes. Crazy good set work. Kid maniquinns again.
B: 9/10 Wow, so much better than I expected. So many unexpected scares. Still had dumb mannequins but such amazing set pieces
S: 6/10 Saw just a few new scares. Timing was off where we were in the conga line. Got some scares though. People behind me were saying stupid shit including to scareactors basically antagonizing them.
B: 8/10 The Stranger Things curse of people not actually moving in the damn house. Still a decent walk through but not as good as the first time. Noticed some scares have a longer reset this time.
S: 8.5/10 While I only got a couple of scares, people we were going with got almost every scare. Saw one new scare actor. Super aggressive cast! The conga line did stop a few times (got to really look around the kitchen)
B: 8.5/10 Really good walkthrough despite stopping for a bit. Saw some new scares and the atmosphere was great.
Jack & Oddfellow Chaos & Control S: 9.5/10 B: 9.5/10
S: 9.5/10 started empty but bam got aggressive with different scares. Super disorienting. Slanted floor and spinning hallway! Heavy in the Oddfellow.
B: 9.5/10 This is the pretty and fun house this year. Not super scary for a first walkthrough but it was stunning. All of the different effects and mirrors absolutely encapsulate the carnival theme this year. More Oddfellow killing Jack than even fighting
Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir S: 7.5/10 B: 7.5/10
S: 7.5/10. Way more hetero, but some lesbian sexy. Fresh show is appreciated but story is hard to follow, like gaps. Music is slow causing dancing to be slow, but helps for sensual parts. Fuel girls have flaming weapons! Gives SeaWorld Hall-O-Scream
B: 7.5/10 Queer baiting. I love vampires. Not quite as sexy as previous years and focuses a little more on the side show/gimmicks than the dancing. No magic, but still a good watch overall.
