As summer comes to a close we are looking at a genre where there are normal hot deserts with sweaty characters. We’re celebrating Westerns this week. Now there have been some Westerns in cold mountains, and the genre has adapted to more modern times, but usually we have cowboys.
Western Vibe. Cowboys, Wild West, doesn’t need to be old timey.
September 24th – 30th
My father loves westerns, and I’ve seen quite a bit of them. They aren’t made as often as they used to be, and my wife doesn’t normally like older movies, so we are looking at more recently made films. While I know it has a messed up ending, we both love horror films so our first choice this week is Bone Tomahawk. If we can’t find it or are not in the mood, I’ve heard good things about an Avengers cast heavy movie Wind River.
